Descrizione
Just before the beginning of the '70s, Gibson dropped the guitar that would become an enduring icon for decades to comes. It was in developing this model, that the canny American guitar builders discovered that they could neatly slot mini-humbuckers into the P-90 sized pickup cavities, so you could get the same hum-free output as a full-sized humbucker, but has that tighter, more sparkling double-coil sound that was demanded by the guitar-based music that was emerging at the time. As an ode to the OG, this left-handed rendition of the innovative Les Paul Deluxe 70s has been added to the Original Collection. It also comes complete with a form-fitting hardshell case.
The Les Paul Deluxe 70s: Seventies Style & Modern Construction
In line with every classic single-cut that Gibson have ever produced, the body of this LP is completed by a maple top, set-in mahogany neck, and an Indian rosewood fretboard, while the 12-inch radius combined with the Rounded-C profile of the neck for that tight and authentic playing feel. The chrome-plated Tune-O-Matic bridge and lightweight aluminium StopBar tailpiece, of course, can't be left out, and neither can the period-accurate set of Keystone tuners, and a very welcome modern tweak lies in the additon of a Graph Tech nut for enhanced intonation and tuning stability. In short, this model manages to take all of the very best bits of the seventies original and bring them bang up-to-date via a contemporary construction.

Ik had oorspronkelijk een LP standard Goldtop P90 besteld maar de levering werd steeds opnieuw uitgesteld. Na 162 dagen wachten bestelde ik uiteindelijk deze gitaar. Ik heb nog geen moment spijt gehad. De actie is fenomenaal. Het geluid scheurt zoals je van een les paul zou verwachten en de low-end van de mini humbuckers is te gek. De gitaar komt met de typische gibson case. Roze voering, bruine kist. In de kist zit een Gibson-strap, multitool voor het afstellen, Gold warranty meegeleverd. Een uitstekend pakket. Het is geen goedkope gitaar maar het is een gitaar voor je leven. Ik kan niet wachten tot de gitaar helemaal ge-aged is zoals een echte goldtop hoort te zijn.

Prachtige gitaar. zeer goede afwerking. Gibson maakt met dit model opnieuw een gitaar zoals een gibson hoort te zijn. Geen robottuners, frets-over-binding, assymetrische nekprofielen, splitcoils of zero-fret-nuts. Deze gitaar is volgens de klassieke standaard gebouwd en klinkt ronduit geweldig. De pickups zitten mooi in het midden tussen een humbucker en een singlecoil. Waar een P90 een andere manier is om diezelfde ruimte tussen humbucker en singlecoil in te vullen en behoorlijk agressief klinkt, zijn deze mini humbuckers wat rustiger van klank. Deze Gibson heeft de beste cleans die ik al gehoord heb in een Gibson, mooi rond, maar toch helder zonder te scherp te worden zoals dat bij sommige gitaren met het F logo het geval kan zijn. Smaken verschillen, maar deze gitaar zit precies goed in de mix zoals ik het graag hoor. En ze ziet er ook nog eens fantistisch uit.
